there is currently a small fault in the database, we have turned the game off for now whilst we try to establish if we have been hacked in some way or if it simply a fault in the system.
Your characters are still there, what seems to have happened is this :-
each game account has an ID number, simple like 10000, each account then has 11 spaces before the next account takes the next ID eg, 10000 , 10011, 10022 etc
So lets say account 10011 then has 10 character IDs linked to it, they too could be 1, 2, 3, 4, etc
Each character in its xml data holds the ID of the account it is attached to, so in char 1, it will say account 10011.
What seems to have happened is some accounts have "shifted" by 3 numbers, so like 10011 is now 10014. But when you log in to account 10011 using the username and password, it takes you to 10014 account, which has no characters.
All I need to do is realign the account ID numbers with the correct characters. I am planning on carrying this out this weekend.
We are 1st working on detecting the reason for the fault and if it is a hacker again attacking us, blocking him out again.
We plan to be back online by Monday 7th November at the latest as long as all goes to plan.
