We have added a new statement to the rules as it seems needed to remind people of the risk involved.
IF you decide not to make use of the ingame mail system to mail tradable items to your "alts" or to other characters in game, but instead decide that the best thing is to drop the item onto the floor and then log out and back in again on a different character. Once you drop the item and log off it becomes available to anyone nearby to pick it up and keep. We do not advise you to do this in ANY circumstance and please do not expect GMs to replace any items lost by "drop swapping".
